Grand Operativo of Sectur planned on Monday February 2nd, 2009, added to two operativos already scheduled: Operativo de Limpieza de Playa of the Mayor and the one of Environnement Minister.

Transito Terrestre comes back for the rules of the road exam

Monday February 2cd and Tuesday February 3rd, 2009

The Transito Terrestre comes back the monday 2cd and Tuesday 3rd of Febreuary to give the exam of rules of the road in the Coastal service station in the Calle Carmen Las Terrenas. If you haven’t made any steps before :

-Go to the Banreserva Bank to pay the tax of 1380RD $ (counter planed for the occasion).

-Photocopy the Cédula Recto/Verso.

-Go to the Coastal service station in the Calle Carmen Las Terrenas to take the rules of the road exam.

Carnival 2009 with the Foundation Mahatma Gandhi

The Mahatma Gandhi Foundation announces its 2009 Carnival Party on Friday, February 20th, from 4 to 6 pm, at the Anacaona Library, hospital road, behind
Candido’s alley.

The party includes dances, a competition of costumes for children, a children’s theater production and other events.

Those interested must register at the library from Monday to Friday, 10-12 am and 2:30-5:30 pm.
The event is organized by Dominican artist Ana Pérez-Bachelier.

Anyone interested in helping out in the event or contributing with funds for the theatrical production please contact her at 809-543-2912.
The event is free and open to the public.

Concerning the rubbish collection, PLEASE do not use the private truck services, since the drivers do not empty them in the municipal dump, but along the detour of Las Terrenas… future Boulevard of the Atlantic.
