El Progreso del Limón supports decision against Luz y Fuerza
The company reaffirms the line does pass by its concession area
On Tuesday, Luz y Fuerza de Las Terrenas
deplored the fact that the CDEEE rejected the expansion project of the Wind Farm Juan Bosch located in Las Guázumas, Samaná, ensuring that the transmission lines did not interfere with the concession area ofthe El Progreso del Limón - EDENORTE.
The company El Progreso del Limón
for its part supports the decision of the electric sector authorities to not grant this permission to Luz y Fuerza, since it implied to install a network of distribution outside its concession area.
In a note El Progreso del Limón
ensures that Luz y Fuerza de Las Terrenas
planned to install 50 kilometers of networks to transport the electricity produced by the Wind Farm Juan Bosch located in Las Galeras to Las Terrenas.
The transmission line from Las Galeras to Las Terrenas, for which Luz y Fuerza requested a no objection certificate, passed trough the concession area of El Progreso del Limón, so it should be rejected by the national power agencies all the time
