Inscriptions opened for Las Terrenas 5K/10K
The race will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012
The III Edition of Las Terrenas 5K·10K will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2012, starting at 8:00 AM from Punta Popy and the Las Terrenas-El Limón road, on the circuit certified by the International Associations of Marathons and Distance Races, AIMS, with the backing of the Dominican Federation of Athletics Associations, and with the full support of the Las Terrenas community, local and national businesses.
This year we want to reach a higher number of participants to continue with our aim to position Las Terrenas as a preferred sport-tourism destination, but what really motivates us is to be able to provide the youth and children of Las Terrenas, and the country in general, the opportunity and the joy of participating in this type of event

Registrations opened on 1 February through the event’s web page www.lasterrenasmarathon.com and at the registration centers on 6 February. In Las Terrenas, runners can register at the office of Century 21 Juan Perdomo at Plaza Taína, in Santo Domingo at the offices of the Dominican Federation of Athletics Associations and at the Runner's Shop, and in Santiago on our website. We believe this event is very important for the progress of Las Terrenas and its community, and we hope Las Terrenas 5K·10K will continue on and contribute to the path of developing a cycle of such activities in the area

Last year, in the II Edition of Las Terrenas 10K, there was a participation of 291 registered runners and 212 little ones who took part in the children races. This meant an exponential growth with respect to the first edition, and in 2012, the expectation is to have even a greater participation thanks to the invaluable collaboration of community groups such as the Liga Deportiva The Terreneros, and local and national companies headed by El Portillo Beach Club and Spa, Induveca, Fairways Residence, VIP Realty Managers, Century 21 Juan Perdomo and others.
Las Terrenas 5K·10K would not be possible without the important contribution of volunteers and the community.
