Zingaro café, much more than a restaurant

At the heart of Las Terrenas, in the Colonial Centre, between the gentleness of sea and the effervescence of the village centre, a nice round construction was erected, the Zingaro Café.

Its name foretells the oriental ambiance that characterize this unique space, and we’re pleased to guess the origin of the precious decoration objects that adorns the establishment, like the seats, lamps, and ashtrays which came right from Egypt.

The round shape of the Zingaro Café and its several entries enable the clients to enjoy exterior, but also make this place a true space for encounters.

As in a theatre play, the characters enter and go out permanently, greet themselves and talk around a cup of coffee or tea, which is possible to choose between the 25 varieties available.

In this atypical and quick bar restaurant, everything is home-made, pastry, crepes, tapas.
In the morning or during a coffee break, savour the excellent brioches, croissants, and pains au chocolat without forgetting the famous pastries, and homemade jams of Nadine.

For a fresh moment, taste the traditional Italian ice-cream or the exoticism and perfume of the wide range of fruit juices offered by the Zingaro.

Concerning the restaurant side of the Zingaro, many dishes with multiple influences are offered to visitors, depending the inspiration of the moment: Tajine ; aioli Provencal aioli…

So you can taste the fraîcheur salads and their delicious tropical flavours, sandwiches made from black bread, wheat bread, or sesame bread, paninis or cheese and Serrano ham platters accompanied by a good wine…

Without forgetting the Breton crepes and pancakes, made with buckwheat flour, unique in Las Terrenas.

At night only, Zingaro becomes a wine bar, in a perfect place to enjoy cocktail hourwith friends, and taste tapas, meatballs with mint, ricotta croquettes and fresh tomatoes, prune wrapped up in grilled bacon, country figs filled with goat’s cheese froth etc…

But Zingaro is also a huge double face screen that retransmits concerts, and enables the sport fans to follow all the events of rugby, football, swimming, tennis, athletics etc… (Program at the entrance).

As for the kids, they can enjoy a delicious snack during the afternoon while watching cartoons, tasting an crepe or an ice-cream.

For special occasions, it’s possible to organize birthdays parties at the Zingaro, accompanied by tapas or tajine specialities.

Zingaro in open from Monday to Saturday, from 07.45am until 09.00pm (kitchen 10.00 to 06.00pm) and Sunday from 09.00am to 05.00pm, only for Nadine pastries, breakfast, cheese or meat platters, since kitchen is closed.
