The El Limon Waterfall, also called the Salto del Limon
is hidden in a tropical forest of the Samaná Peninsula.
This impressive 55 meter high waterfall is in the community of El Limón
, 20 minutes from Las Terrenas and is visited by thousands of eco-tourists each year.
This is a relaxing and enjoyable trip you will never forget.
Generally the ride into the falls is done on horseback, led by a local guide who will take you to the waterfall in about half an hour.
Then a short walk leads you to a place called Rio Chico
where you can swim, dive and take pictures.
This tour can also be done on foot.
